An entirely suprasellar Rathke’s cleft cyst: a rare case report with review of literature

Abstract Background A Rathke’s cleft cyst is a benign intrasellar cystic lesion, with suprasellar extension reported in few cases. An entirely without any component, though previously reported, rare. Case presentation We report case of an 25-year-old female presenting headache and visual complaints. The patient was treated surgically by drainage the removal wall transcranial approach. Histopathology immunohistochemistry confirmed diagnosis cyst. review relevant literature discuss its neuroembryologic pathogenesis, pathology factors influencing recurrence Conclusions To best our knowledge, only 62 cases have been till date.
